We stand behind the work we do and are proud to offer a limited one-year warranty on parts and labor. Our warranty covers stress cracks, warping, air and water leaks, and defects in workmanship. It does not cover chips, damage due to sand or sand spray, any damage to the exterior of the car or exterior glass of the car, damage to any part of the car that we did not work on, damage due to rust, body damage, or damage due to natural disaster or act of God.
To tell the difference between a rock chip (uncovered external damage) and a stress fracture (an internal crack covered by warranty), we employ the “pen test.” The pen test involves dragging a pen across both the inside and the outside of the windshield until it “catches” in the crack. If the pen “catches” on the outside of the glass and the crack is external, the crack is due to either rock chip or sand spray and will not be covered by warranty. If, however, the pen “catches” on the inside of the glass and the crack is located on the inside of the car, the warranty will cover 100% of the replacement.
